Im Zentrum der Regionalkonferenz steht das Thema „Daten in der Smart City“. Im Rahmen eines vielfältigen, interaktiven Programms können sich alle Kommunen der Region bei Impulsvorträgen, Workshops und Networking-Formaten austauschen und miteinander vernetzen. In Workshops zu Themen wie Datenstrategien, Open Data und Datenethik und urbanen Datenplattformen geben Praktikerinnen und Praktiker Input und laden zum Wissenstransfer ein.
Das Bundesministerium für Wohnen, Stadtentwicklung und Bauwesen (BMWSB) lädt in Kooperation mit der Stadt Gütersloh alle Kommunen der Region Ost-Westfalen-Lippe und Umgebung sowie alle am Thema Smart Cities Interessierten herzlich ein. Organisiert wird die Veranstaltung von der federführend im DLR Projektträger angesiedelten Koordinierungs- und Transferstelle Modellprojekte Smart Cities (KTS).
