Die Auswahl, Anwendung und Verarbeitung von Kunststoffen ist hingegen für die meisten Ingenieur*innen und Techniker*innen bei weitem noch kein vertrautes Metier. Viele haben im Rahmen ihrer Ausbildung und Berufslaufbahn nur einen begrenzten Einblick in die Kunststofftechnik erhalten und werden bei Neu- und Weiterentwicklungen in zunehmendem Maße mit dem Einsatz von Kunststoffen konfrontiert. Daher ist der Schwerpunkte dieser Fortbildung die Vermittlung der kunststofftechnischen Grundlagen, die Qualitätssicherung und die Verarbeitung, vor allem das Spritzgießen von Kunststoffen.
