The urgent need for reform in the current scientific evaluation system—largely driven by quantitative metrics—is widely acknowledged. This is particularly evident given the extensive and impressive membership of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA). Yet, how do we go about it? What progress has been made in turning these ambitions into reality thus far? How are the established goals being realized, and what challenges still lie ahead?
These and other questions will be discussed in a panel discussion with experts from different areas of the evaluation process. To kick off the discussion, brief inputs on the objectives and concrete implementation will be provided by Elizabeth Gadd, Vice-Chair, Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA), UK and Joachim Spranger, Dean, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
