The Conference brings together leading international academics, policymakers, and practitioners to present innovative research and engage in dialogue on critical issues in sustainable finance.
Launched in 2017 by the Department of Management of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, the Conference has become a key annual meeting for global experts in social impact finance. Since the 2023 edition, the Conference has been co-organised with the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, GreenWatch (University College Dublin, UCD), SoGReS-MF (Jaume I University of Castellón), FINRES (UNED University, Spain), and The University of Hamburg. These institutions joined the founding partners: Sapienza University of Rome, UnitelmaSapienza, and Casmef – LUISS Guido Carli.
The 2026 Conference invites scholars to submit original research papers from a broad range of sustainability-related fields, including but not limited to sustainable finance, sustainability reporting, nature finance, green legislation, and the SDGs. The Conference engages high-standing scholars and professionals and will host several outstanding keynote speakers, to be announced soon.
We welcome submissions from a broad range of fields related to sustainability research including but not limited to sustainable finance, sustainability reporting, nature finance, green legislation, and any SDG. Two publication opportunities are connected to this year’s edition:
Journal of Sustainable Finance & Investment (JSF&I): In consultation with the Editor-in-Chief, selected conference papers will be considered for submission to a regular issue of the Journal of Sustainable Finance & Investment under a fast-track peer review process.

Outstanding research contributions will be recognized with Best Paper Awards.
Timeline:
1st August 2025: Start submission of working papers or extended abstracts
1st September 2025: Start conference registration
1st October 2025: Submission deadline for working papers or extended abstracts
1st November 2025: Paper acceptance notice given
1st December 2025: Deadline for Conference registration
11th January 2026: Submission of full papers for extended abstracts submissions
