Computersimulation zur Entwicklung von Augendominanzkolumnen in einem einfachen Modell mit kortikalem Wachstum. Schwarze Bereiche entsprechen einer Präferenz für das linke Auge, weiße Bereiche einer Präferenz für das rechte Auge. Das anfängliche Streifenmuster löst sich nach dem Wachstum langsam in ein Zickzack-Muster auf. Eine ähnliche Umordnung zeigen auch die experimentellen Untersuchungen an der Sehrinde der Katze.
