´Vergleich von perspektivischen Kartenansichten der „Moresby Seamount Abschiebung“ unterschiedlicher Auflösung. A) klassische Qualität einer schiffsgestützten Echolotkartierung des nördlichen Moresby Seamount Berghangs. Die Auflösung beträgt 25 mal 25 Meter. B) Die neue AUV Karte der „Moresby Seamount Abschiebung“ mit einer Auflösung von 2 mal 2 Meter. Deutlich erkennt man eine ein mächtige Abbruchkante. Oberhalb dieser Kante sieht man eine poliert wirkende Fläche, dabei handelt es sich um die direkte Oberfläche der „Moresby Seamount Abschiebung“. Etwas höher erkennt man zahlreiche Schuttfächer im Auslaufbereich kleinerer Erosionskanälen.
