Johanna Quandt (Mitte) vor der Büste ihres Großvaters, des Physiologen Max Rubner (1854 München – 1932 Berlin) am Eingang des neuen Laborgebäudes des Max-Delbrück-Centrums (MDC), das nach ihm benannt ist. Mit dabei: Cornelia Lanz (administrativer Vorstand des MDC), Prof. Walter Rosenthal (Vorstandsvorsitzender und wissenschaftlicher Stiftungsvorstand des MDC), Staatssekretär Georg Schütte (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung), Dr. Christian Bruhn (Enkel von Max Rubner) und Prof. Friedrich Luft (Experimental and Clinical Research Center, ECRC, der Charité und des MDC). Die Büste, die der Bildhauer Fritz Schaper (1841 Alsleben a.d. Saale – 1919 Berlin) 1910 von Max Rubner schuf, ist eine Replik, gefertigt von der Gipsformerei Charlottenburg.
