Röntgenbild eines Kristalls. Das Beugungsmuster ergibt sich aus 34.000 einzelnen Aufnahmen eines Kryptonstrahls kurz nach Beginn der Kristallkeimbildung. Die Ringe zeigen die Röntgenstreuung an bestimmten Molekülebenen innerhalb der kleinen Kristalle an.
