Vergleich der aktuellen Weltraummüllpopulation mit der Trümmerwolke des zerstörten chinesischen Wettersatelliten (für Objekte größer als einen Zentimeter). Die Grafik zeigt auch die Situation der Trümmer in 5 Jahren. In Bahnhöhen größer als 800 Kilometern verbleiben die Zentimeter großen Objekte für lange Zeit.
