Am 2. Juli soll es für Prof. Friedrich August Berndt "rote Rosen regnen". Als Symbol für die Medizinische Fakultät hatte sich die Witwe seine Lieblingsblume gewünscht. Damit konnte sie sich allerdings nicht durchsetzen. Somit hält er noch heute eine Medizinschale mit Schlange in der Hand.
