Das "Leichtentuch" einer Sonne: Für diese Ansicht des Supernova-Überrests wurden Bilder im Infrarot- und Röntgenbereich der Satelliten Spitzer und Chandra sowie des Observatoriums auf dem Calar Alto kombiniert. Die Explosion des weißen Zwergsterns hinterließ eine mehrere Millionen Grad heiße Wolke aus Gas und Staub.
