Vergleich der rekonstruierten Temperaturen im Altai (Abweichung vom Mittel), nachgewiesen aus den Sauerstoffisotopen im Eiskern (rot) mit der solaren Modulation als Mass für die Sonnenaktivität aus Messungen von 10Be in polaren Eisbohrkernen (blau) und 14C in Baumringen (grün). Ausserdem sind die atmosphärischen CO2 Konzentrationen (schwarz) gezeigt. Die solaren Modulationskurven wurden um 20 Jahre verschoben (mittlerer Wert für die Verzögerung der Temperatur gegenüber dem Strahlungsantrieb).
