Strukturmodell des VTC4p* im Komplex mit einer Polyphosphatkette, welche aus ATP synthetisiert wurde. Die Oberfläche des Proteins ist transparent dargestellt, im Inneren sind die Sekundärstrukturelemente als Bändermodell dargestellt. Das ATP bindet als Phosphatquelle an der mit dem Stern gekennzeichneten Stelle des Enzyms, und es werden lineare Polyphosphate durch eine tunnelförmige Öffnung des Proteins gebildet.
