Vergleich des LBT mit dem Weltraumteleskop Hubble: Das Bild zeigt die Zentralregion des Kugelsternhaufens M92, von beiden Teleskopen bei einer Wellenlänge von 1.6 µm beobachtet. Es ist leicht erkennbar, dass das LBT-Bild (rechts) das Hubble-Bild (links) an Schärfe und Empfindlichkeit deutlich übertrifft.
