Said Omar Rogh (4.v.l.), Meike Woodcock (5.v.l.), Julian Glaras (3.v.r.) und Timo Riedel (2.v.r.) von der Fachhochschule Gelsenkirchen büffeln in einem Sonderkurs während der Semesterferien Japanisch. Die Fachhochschule Gelsenkirchen bietet ihren Studierenden damit zum ersten Mal die Möglichkeit, die Sprache des „Landes der aufgehenden Sonne“ zu lernen. Das Angebot beruht auf einer Zusammenarbeit zwischen Dr. Petra Iking (r.), der Leiterin des Sprachenzentrums der Fachhochschule Gelsenkirchen, und Dr. Jochen Pleines (3.v.l.), Leiter des Landesspracheninstituts (LSI) in der Ruhr-Universität. Unterrichtet werden sie von der Gastdozentin Yu Omori, Waseda-Universität in Tokio und Dr. Monika Unkel (2.v.l.), Institutsleiterin des LSI-Japonicum.
