Menschliche Körperzelle, in der zwei Annexine markiert sind (Annexin 1 gelb; Annexin 6 blau) . Auf der linken Seite vor dem Toxinangriff sind die beiden Proteine in der Zelle durchmischt. Auf der rechten Seite hat ein Bakterientoxin Löcher in die Zellmembran gebohrt, worauf beide Annexine an die Membran wandern und an unterschiedlichen Stellen die Reparatur vornehmen. Der Teil der Membran, der die Toxinpore enthält, wird isoliert (weisser Pfeil) und abgestossen (roter Pfeil).
