Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel lässt sich im Berliner Institut für Medizinische Systembiologie (BIMBS) des Max-Delbrück-Centrums für Molekulare Medizin (MDC) eines der neuesten Sequenziergeräte für DNA-Analysen erklären von dem aus Berlin stammenden Dr. Jonas Korlach (r.), Mitentwickler des DNA-Analysegeräts des US-Technologieunternehmens Pacific Biosciences und Dr. Wei Chen (l.), Leiter der Genomikplattform des BIMSB. Korlach ist auch Mitbegründer des Unternehmens in Menlo Park Kalifornien.
