Beispiel eines 51 Jahre alten Patienten mit früher Rheumatoider Arthritis unter Methotrexat-Therapie: Keine Erosionen der Metacarpophalangealgelenke in der initialen MRT. Das Fusionsbild aus MRT und hochauflösender SPECT mit Tc99m-DPD zeigt allerdings bereits einen fokalen Traceruptake (Pfeil) als Hinweis auf eine Knochenschädigung auf molekularer Ebene. In der Verlaufsuntersuchung 6 Monate nach der Initialuntersuchung zeigt sich nun auch in der MRT eine Knochenerosion in diesem Bereich.
