Phosphorylierungsstellen im Titin: Bei der Muskelkontraktion verschieben sich die Aktin- (blau) und Myosinfilamente (grün) der Muskelzellen gegeneinander, so dass sich der Muskel spannt. Damit das funktioniert, muss das Riesenprotein Titin (rot), das mit dem Myosinfilament verbunden ist, elastisch sein. Wie stark eine Herzmuskelzelle sich spannen oder entspannen lässt, hängt maßgeblich von der Phosphorylierung (P) der PEVK- und N2Bus-Region des Titins ab.
