Mit einem symbolischen Knopfdruck des Rektors der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jens Strackeljan, der Staatssekretärin Cornelia Quennet-Thielen vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, der Wissenschaftsministerin des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt, Prof. Dr. Birgitta Wolff, und Dr. Heinrich Kolem, CEO AX Division der Siemens AG Healthcare, (v.li.n.re.) startete das interdisziplinäre Forschungsvorhaben STIMULATE (Solution Centre for Image Guided Local Therapies).
