Doppelgrab von Oberkassel: Die Skelette wurden im Februar 1914 zusammen mit den Resten eines Hundes, Kunstgegenständen und weiteren Tierknochen bei Steinbrucharbeiten an der Rabenlay gefunden. Die rund 14.000 Jahre alten Menschenfossilien halfen nun bei der Datierung, wann der moderne Mensch Afrika verließ.
