Das Photo zeigt die Herstellung von Proben dotierter Bandsupraleiter mittels Laser-Ablation an der Universität Augsburg. Der Strahl eines gepulsten UV-Lasers trifft ein Target, das aus einem Hochtemperatur-Supraleiter besteht. Dadurch entsteht ein violett-gefärbtes Plasma (rechts oberhalb der Bildmitte). Die Komponenten des Plasmas (Atome, Moleküle, Ionen) werden auf dem Trägermaterial des späteren Kabels abgeschieden, das von einem Ofen auf 750° C erhitzt wird (Bildmitte).
