Konturplot der Elektronendichte in einer induktiven Argon-Entladung, in der Nanopartikel gefangen sind. Man kann zwei Bereiche unterscheiden ein Plasmoid (Region hoher Elektronendichte) und eine Region (Dust Cloud) in der die negativ geladenen Nanopartikel eingeschlossen sind. Plasmoid und Partikelwolke rotieren gemeinsam um die Symmetrieachse der Plasmakammer.
