Spir- und Cappuccino-Proteine kommen in Zellen immer gemeinsam an den gleichen Strukturen vor, wie diese Abbildung zeigt: Spir (grün) und Cappuccino (Capu, rot) wurden in Maus-Fibroblastenzellen hergestellt und ihre Lokalisation mittels Fluoreszenzmikroskopie untersucht. Zelluläre Strukturen, in denen beide Proteine gemeinsam vorkommen, erscheinen bei der Überlagerung der Bilder (Spir/Capu) gelb.
