Die Verlustwahrscheinlichkeit macht Druck: Gruppen von Studenten erreichen das kollektive Klimaschutzziel nur, wenn ein Misserfolg einen zu 90% wahrscheinlichen Verlust ihres Geldes erwarten lässt (blaue Linie). Selbst dann haben sie dabei noch Probleme: Die Summe an Investitionen erreicht den notwendigen Grenzwert (schwarze Linie) erst in der letzten Runde des Spiels. Beträgt die Verlustwahrscheinlichkeit nur 50% (grüne Linie) oder 10% (rosa Linie), dann entfernen sich die kollektiven Investitionen der Studenten sogar immer mehr vom Grenzwert.
