Professor Dr. Kurt Kutzler, Präsident der TU Berlin und Repräsentant von TU9, gratuliert in seiner Rede im Namen der TU9 Mitglieder dem IIT Madras zum 50-jährigen Bestehen. Anwesend sind neben Frau Dr. Annette Schavan (Bundesministerin für Bildung und Forschung) und dem indischen Technologieminister, Herrn Kapil Sibal, die TU9 Präsidenten und Rektoren sowie zahlreiche Repräsentanten aus Wissenschaft und Forschung beider Länder und viele Studierende.
