Strömungen um Südafrika (Momentanaufnahme). Der Agulhasstrom (rotes Band) fließt entlang der südafrikanischen Küste. Südwestlich von Kapstadt vollzieht er eine abrupte Kehrtwende zurück in den Indischen Ozean. Dabei schnürt er Wirbel ab, die nach Westen in den Atlantik driften. (Die Farben geben die Stärke der Strömung an.)
