Immunofluoreszenz-Aufnahmen von Säugetierzellen angefärbt für das Motorprotein Mklp2, den "Chromosomal Passenger Complex" CPC, Centromere, Mikrotubuli und Chromatin. Durch die Kombination verschiedener chemischer Substanzen und der Depletion von Protein mittels der RNAi-Technik, konnte der Mechanismus der Lokalisierung von dem CPC und dem Motorprotein an Mikrotubuli untersucht werden: Taxol unterdrückt die Dynamik von Mikrotubuli, Roscovitine inhibiert die Cdk1-Kinase, VS-83/MG-132 arretiert die Zellen in der Mitose.
