Durch Simulation erzeugte Abbildung von GST. Deutlich zu erkennen sind die ringförmigen Strukturen und die blauen Hohlräume, deren Zusammenspiel den schnellen Phasenübergang dieser Materialklasse ermöglicht. Die Elemente wurden farbig markiert: Tellur gelb, Germanium rot, Antimon blau.
