Bayreuth (UBT). Einen sogenannten PASCAL-Workshop zum Thema "Maschinelles Lernen" veranstaltet der Bayreuther Professor für Angewandte Informatik, Dr. Klaus Schittkowski, in dieser Woche im Wissenschafts und Tagungszentrum auf Schloss Thurnau.
Zusammen mit seinem britischen Kollegen Prof. John Shawe-Taylor (Universität Southampton) erwartet Schittkowski 53 Teilnehmer aus dreizehn Ländern. PASCAL ist der Name eines Exzellenz-Netzwerks der Europäischen Union, an dem die Universität Bayreuth beteiligt ist.
