In der Ausstellung "ein faden verbindet - weltumspannende fadenspiele" trifft Tradition und Moderne aufeinander. Vielfältige heutige Formen der Fadenspiele werden mit ihren kulturellen Ursprüngen verknüpft. Fadenspiele als eine der spielerischen Leistungen vieler früher Kulturen sind in fünf nach Kontinenten gegliederten Ausstellungsräumen zu sehen und laden zum Mit- und Nachspielen ein. Die Ausstellung findet vom 8. Mai bis 21. August 2005 im Übersee-Museum statt. Das Projekt ist im Studiengang Primarstufe des Fachbereichs Erziehungs- und Bildungswissenschaften zusammen mit dem Übersee-Museum und dem Fadenspieler Lothar Walschik entstanden.
