Ulmer Rektor Hans Wolff wiedergewählt
Der Große Senat der Universität Ulm hat am 10. Mai 1999 den Universitäts-Präsidenten für die am 1. Oktober beginnende Amtszeit gewählt. Der seit dem 1.10. 1995 amtierende Präsident (Rektor), Prof. Dr. Hans Wolff, Leiter der Abteilung Stochastik, stand als einziger Kandidat zur Wahl, die - bei einer Enthaltung - einstimmig ausfiel.
Der Präsident der Universität Ulm kann seine Amtszeit auf vier Jahre beschränken und führt in diesem Fall die Bezeichnung »Rektor«. Wie schon in seiner ersten Rektoratsperiode verfährt Prof. Wolff nach diesem Modell auch in der zweiten, die infolgedessen am 30.9.2003 enden wird.
