Gemeinsame Presseeinladung der Koordinierungsstelle EG der Wissenschaftsorganisationen (KoWi), der Universität des Saarlandes, des "Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique" (CNRS) sowie des Max-Planck-Instituts für Informatik
Pressegespräch auf der Bundestagung zur EU Forschungsförderung "FP 7 ante portas" (01. bis 03. Juni 2005):

Der Gemeinsame Europäische Forschungsraum realisiert sich. Im Jahr 2005 werden entscheidende Weichen für die Europäische Forschungspolitik gestellt werden: Die Festlegung eines neuen Forschungsrahmenprogramms (2007-2013), die geplante Einsetzung eines Europäischen Forschungsrates (EFR) für die Förderung der Grundlagenforschung und die von der Kommission und dem Parlament angestrebte Verdopplung des EU-Forschungsbudgets werden großen Einfluss auf die nationale Forschungsförderung in Europa haben.
Die Koordinierungsstelle EG der Wissenschaftsorganisationen (KoWi) wird vom 01.-03. Juni mit der Universität des Saarlandes in Kooperation mit dem "Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique" (CNRS) sowie dem Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik die Bundestagung zur EU-Forschungsförderung mit dem Titel "FP 7 ante portas" veranstalten. Schwerpunkt der Fachkonferenz zur EU-Forschungsförderung wird der Blick auf die aktuellen Entwicklungen des 7. Forschungsrahmenprogramms sein. Ziel dieser einzigen bundesweiten Fachkonferenz ist im direktem Kontakt zusammen mit Kolleginnen und Kollegen aus den französischen Forschungseinrichtungen und Universitäten Erfahrungen auszutauschen und neue europäische Netzwerke zu erschließen.
KoWi, mit Sitz in Bonn und Brüssel, berät, informiert und schult als zentrale Service-Einrichtung deutsche Wissenschaftseinrichtungen zu EU-Forschungsförderung und erfolgreicher Antragstellung.
Zum Pressegespräch am Donnerstag, 02. Juni 2005, um 13.00 Uhr in das Büro neben dem Auditorium 111, Gebäude 16 auf dem Campus der Universität des Saarlandes sowie zu einem anschliessenden Mittagsimbiss laden wir Sie herzlich ein.
Das Pressegespräch bietet Ihnen u.a die Möglichkeit mit hochrangigen Vertretern der Kommission wie Dr. Robert-Jan Smits aus der Generaldirektion Forschung, des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) wie Herr MinDirig. Dr. Walter Mönig, Leiter der Unterabteilung Europa im BMBF sowie der Präsidentin der Universität des Saarlandes, Frau Professor Dr. Margret Wintermantel zusammenzutreffen.
