Die Universitätsklinik für Psychosomatische Medizin und Psychotherapie Ulm veranstaltet am 24./25. Juni 2005 den "3rd International Ulm-Workshop on Psycho-Oncology", der sich mit kommunikativen Restriktionen im Kontext der Hämatologie-Onkologie befassen wird. Die wissenschaftliche Leitung haben Dr.Dr.Norbert Grulke (Uni Ulm) und Prof.Dr. Karl Köhle (Uni Köln).
Die Arzt-Patient-Kommunikation wird durch vielfältige Faktoren beeinflusst, die noch unzureichend erforscht sind. Bei dieser Tagung soll ausgelotet werden, inwieweit bei der Kommunikation mit Patienten im Kontext der Knochenmark- bzw. Blutstammzelltransplantation somatische, psychische, aber auch ethische Randbedingungen eine Rolle spielen. Der zweite Tag des Workshops widmet sich dem Training kommunikativer Fähigkeiten von Ärzten.
Für den Workshop konnten international renommierte Wissenschaftler als Referenten gewonnen werden. Die Konferenzsprache ist Englisch. Anmeldungen sind noch möglich.
