Die dritte internationale ASTROD-Tagung "Laser-Astrodynamics, Space Tests of Relativity and Gravitational Wave Astronomy" findet am 2. und 3. Juni am Zentrum für angewandte Raumfahrttechnologie und Mikrogravitation, (ZARM) statt. Die Tagung ist einer auf chinesische Initiative zurückgehende Raumfahrtmission gewidmet. An dieser Mission sind neben chinesischen auch deutsche und französische Wissenschaftler beteiligt. Sie dient zur Exploration unseres Sonnensystems, dem Nachweis von Gravitationswellen in einem bisher nicht zugänglichen Frequenzspektrum, was neue Erkenntnisse über das Universum bis hin zum Urknall bringt, sowie zum hochgenauen Test der Einsteinschen Gravitationstheorie.
