Magnetom Trio - am Tübinger Uniklinikum geht europaweit stärkster Ganzkörpertomograf in Betrieb
Sowohl in der Forschung als auch in der klinischen Routine sind Untersuchungen mit dem neuen 3-Tesla Magnetresonanztomografen (Kernspintomografie) problemlos durchführbar: Am Universitätsklinikum Tübingen stellt Siemens Medical Solutions mit dem Magnetom Trio das erste 3-Tesla -Magnetresonanzsystem (MR) mit der innovativen Tim-(Total imaging matrix) Technologie vor. Erstmals im 3-Tesla-Bereich unterstützt das revolutionäre Matrix-Spulen-Konzept alle klinischen Applikationen, wie abdominelle, orthopädische, kardiologische sowie die Ganzkörperuntersuchungen ohne Umlagerung des Patienten. Prof. Claus Claussen, Ärztlicher Direktor der Radiologischen Diagnostik am Uniklinikum Tübingen: "Damit sind deutliche Verbesserungen bei Aufnahmegeschwindigkeit und Bildqualität möglich." Das neue Gerät wird in erster Linie für Forschungsvorhaben, aber auch in der Patientenversorgung zum Einsatz kommen.
