Der Fachbereich Verkehrs- und Transportwesen der Fachhochschule Erfurt hat einen neuen Dekan. Der Fachbereichsrat wählte Prof. Dr.- Ing. Dieter Huber (Professur für Softwareentwicklung und IuK-Anwendungen) zum Dekan der Amtsperiode 2005/07. Amtsvorgänger Prof. Dr. Matthias Gather wurde zum Prodekan gewählt, das Amt des Studiendekans übernimmt Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Berndt.
Dekan Huber ist seit Februar 2001 an der Fachhochschule Erfurt tätig. Er hatte zunächst die Professur Mechatronik und Materialflusssysteme vertreten.
