Der Fakultätsrat der Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin hat Professor Dr. Robert Nitsch (42) zum neuen Prodekan für Forschung gewählt. Gleichzeitig bestimmte das Gremium Professor Dr. Manfred Gross (54) zum neuen Prodekan für Studium und Lehre. Robert Nitsch, Direktor des Instituts für Zell- und Neurobiologie am Campus Charité Mitte und Sprecher des Sonderforschungsbereichs "Entwicklungsstörungen im Nervensystem", tritt damit ab sofort die Nachfolge von Professor Dr. Cornelius Frömmel an, der als Vorstand und Dekan an die medizinische Fakultät der Universität Göttingen wechselt. Manfred Gross ist Direktor der Klinik für Audiologie und Phoniatrie am Campus Benjamin Franklin und folgt auf Professor Dr. Dr. Rolf Winau, der in den Ruhestand geht.
Robert Nitsch will sich vor allem für eine transparente Trennung der Finanzströme zwischen Klinik und Forschung einsetzen und "die wissenschaftliche Leistung und Qualität in den Mittelpunkt aller Entscheidungen stellen." Auch Manfred Gross will "gute Lehre belohnen", zudem den Servicegedanken stärken und die Ausbildung an der Charité "auf international höchstes Niveau bringen".
Die beiden neuen Prodekane bekleiden ihre Ämter zunächst für anderthalb Jahre, dann wird gemäß Vorschaltgesetz ein neuer Fakultätsrat gewählt.
