Deutschlands führende Experten zum Thema Sprache in der Politik haben mit renommierten Politik- und Kommunikationswissenschaftlern vereinbart, den aktuellen Bundestagswahlkampf flächendeckend zu beobachten, zu analysieren und die Ergebnisse bei der Konferenz Sprache im Wahlkampf 2005 am 9.und 10. September 2005 am Campus Koblenz der Universität Koblenz-Landau kurz vor dem Wahltag vorzustellen.
Wissenschaft kommt oft zu spät. Hier ist das anders. Hier werden noch vor der Wahl die Augen geöffnet für sprachliche und mediale Phänomene, ohne deren Erkenntnis mündiges Wählen nur schwer möglich ist.
