Erstmalig bietet das Institut für Rechtspsychologie an der Universität Bremen vom 13. bis 16. Oktober 2005 die Weiterbildung "Fachpsychologe/Fachpsychologin für Rechtspsychologen an". Bislang war diese Weiterbildung nur im Rahmen des Berufsverbandes Deutscher Psychologinnen und Psychologen (BDP) möglich. Die inhaltlichen Schwerpunkte umfassen sowohl die traditionellen Bereiche der Forensischen Psychologie, wie beispielsweise die Begutachtung im Straf-, Sozial-, und Zivilrecht, als auch neuere Tätigkeitsfelder der Rechtspsychologie, wie die psychologische Tätigkeit im Bereich Polizei.
