Am Mittwoch, 26. Oktober 2005, lädt die Klinik der Neurochirurgie der Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main und die Carl Zeiss Surgical GmbH zur "Carl Zeiss Vorlesung 2005" ein. Die Veranstaltung ehrt herausragende Verdienste um die Klinische Neurochirurgie. Die diesjährige Auszeichnung für besondere operative Leistungen auf dem Gebiet der Mikrochirurgie wird Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h. c. mult. Madjid Samii, Präsident des International Neuroscience Institute Hannover (INI) und Direktor der Neurochirurgischen Klinik des INI, verliehen. Der Neurochirurg wird den Ehrenvortrag mit dem Titel "Herausforderungen an die Neurochirurgie in der Zukunft" halten.
Die Veranstaltung findet im Franz Vollhard Hörsaal (Saal 22-2) in Haus 22 im 2. OG der J.W. Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, Theodor-Stern-Kai 7, 60590 Frankfurt am Main statt und beginnt um 16.15 Uhr. Eine Voranmeldung ist nicht notwendig.
