Prof. Dr. Peter Hänggi (Lehrstuhl für Theoretische Physik I) ist vom Council der "American Association for the Advancement of Science" (AAAS) als ausländisches Mitglied zum Fellow gewählt worden.
Das entsprechende Zertifikat, das Hänggi am 18 Februar in St. Louis (USA) zusammen mit einer Medaillie überreicht werden wird, erhält er für seine "distinguished contributions to the fields of reaction theory and Stochastic Resonance and for discoveries of coherent destruction of tunneling and Brownian motors".
