Schwappach mit renommiertem Peter Reizenstein-Preis 2004 ausgezeichnet
Der Wittener Gesundheitsökonom, Juniorprofessor Dr. David Schwappach, ist Träger des Peter Reizenstein-Preises 2004. Dies gab die Jury der "International Society for Quality in Health Care Inc." (ISQUA) bekannt. Der Preis ist mit 500 £ dotiert. Er wird verliehen für Schwappachs Beitrag "What makes an error unacceptable? A factorial survey on the disclosure of medical errors?"
Der Beitrag wird als beste Veröffentlichung des Jahres 2004 im "International Journal für Quality in Health Care" gewürdigt. Das Magazin wird herausgegeben vom Oxford University Press Verlag. Die Preisverleihung findet am 26.10.2005 im kanadischen Vancouver auf der ISQUA-Jahrestagung statt.
Schwappach empfindet den Preis als Ansporn: "Ich habe mich sehr gefreut und bin stolz, als Europäer mit einem Preis ausgezeichnet zu werden, mit dem so renommierte Wissenschaftler wie Eugene C. Nelson und Richard Brooks geehrt wurden. Für mich ist der Preis eine großartige Motivation, mich weiter den Themen Qualität und Sicherheit in der Gesundheitsversorgung zu widmen!"
