Weltweites Ranking der Internet-Präsenz von Hochschulen erschienen
Das spanische Forschungsinstitut "Internet Lab" hat weltweit den Internetauftritt von Hochschulen bewertet und aus den Ergebnissen ein Ranking erstellt. Vor allem technische Hochschulen und Forschungseinrichtungen schnitten dabei gut ab.
Als höchstplatzierte deutsche Hochschule nahm die RWTH Aachen den zwölften Platz in Europa ein. Weltweit landete sie auf Platz 85.
Kriterien für eine gelungene Internet-Präsenz waren die Größe des Internetauftritts, gemessen an der Anzahl der Seiten, die Übersichtlichkeit der Seiten, gemessen anhand der Anzahl der Links, sowie die Anzahl der angebotenen Dokumente zum Download.
Bei Betrachtung der ersten 500 Ranking-Plätzen positionierte sich Deutschland weltweit - hinter den USA - auf dem zweiten Platz.
