Informatik-Didaktiker der Universität Jena zum Fachausschuss-Sprecher gewählt
Jena (02.11.05) Prof. Dr. Michael Fothe von der Universität Jena ist zum Sprecher des Fachausschusses "Informatische Bildung in Schulen" gewählt worden. Der Inhaber der Casio-Stiftungsprofessur für Didaktik der Mathematik/Informatik gehört diesem Leitungsgremium innerhalb der Gesellschaft für Informatik e. V. (GI) bereits seit 2000 an - seit 2002 als dessen stellvertretender Sprecher.
Der Fachausschuss machte immer wieder von sich reden, so mit den Empfehlungen für ein Gesamtkonzept zur informatischen Bildung an allgemeinbildenden Schulen (2000) oder mit dem GI-Memorandum zur Schulinformatik (2004).
Schwerpunkt der Arbeit im Wahlzeitraum 2005-08 bildet das Erarbeiten von Bildungsstandards für das Fach Informatik in der Sekundarstufe I. Darauf will der Fachausschuss gemeinsam mit Partnern inner- und außerhalb der GI seine Kräfte konzentrieren. "Wir müssen möglichst frühzeitig damit beginnen, die Informatikausbildung in den Schulen zu stärken und vergleichbar zu machen", betont Prof. Fothe. Er kennt die Probleme des Schulalltags, war er doch vor seiner Berufung an die Jenaer Universität als Gymnasiallehrer und Landesfachberater für Informatik in Thüringen tätig.
