Das Kuratorium der HIS GmbH hat in seiner Sitzung am 25.10.2005 Herrn Prof. Dr. Dr. Godehard Ruppert, Rektor der Universität Bamberg, erneut zu seinem Vorsitzenden gewählt. Stellvertreter ist unverändert Herr Ministerialdirigent Dr. Dr. Christian Weise, Niedersächsisches Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kultur.
Wichtigste Aufgabe des HIS-Kuratoriums, in dem der Bund, die Länder, die Hochschulen, das Statistische Bundesamt, der Wissenschaftsrat, die Bauministerkonferenz und das Deutsche Studentenwerk vertreten sind, ist die jährliche Beratung des HIS-Arbeitsprogramms.
Die Amtszeit des Vorstands des HIS-Kuratoriums endet am 31.12.2007.
