Auf der Grundlage eines Forschungsstipendiums, dessen Wiederaufnahme die Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung (AvH) bewilligt hat, verbringt PROF. DR. ZSOLT GULACSI (University of Debrecen, Ungarn) seit Anfang Oktober 2005 einen dreimonatigen Forschungsaufenthalt bei PROF. DR. DIETER VOLLHARDT am Augsburger Lehrstuhl für Theoretische Physik III / Elektronische Korrelationen und Magnetismus. Zsolts Forschungsprojekt befasst sich mit der Konstruktion exakter Grundzustände elektronischer Korrelationsmodelle.
Ebenfalls mit einem Forschungsstipendium der AvH wird DR. JAN KUNES (University of California, Davis, USA) ab Januar 2006 an Vollhardts Lehrstuhl arbeiten. Kunes ist ein ausgewiesener Theoretiker auf dem Gebiet der "ab initio"-Berechnung korrelierter Elektronensysteme.
