New Head of Marketing and Communication at FIZ CHEMIE Berlin

    Richard Huber takes over the leadership position from January 2006 / Previously Overall Project Manager of VS-C / Available for talks with customers and the press at the Online Information Exhibition 2005 from 29.11. - 1.12. in London.

    London/Berlin, November 2005 - Richard Huber will take over as head of Marketing and Communication at the Fachinformationszentrum Chemie GmbH (FIZ CHEMIE Berlin), effective from 1st January 2006. The 39-year-old graduate engineer, a specialist in Technical Computer Science, has been working at FIZ CHEMIE Berlin for the last six years. In his last postition, he was responsible as the Overall Project Manager for coordinating development work in the Networked Chemistry Studies (Vernetztes
    Studium - Chemie, VS-C), a key project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) to create digital teaching and learning materials for chemical studies at university level. In the course of 5 years, the VS-C developed 1.400 networked multimedia learning courses. FIZ CHEMIE Berlin is marketing the results under the product name CHEMGAROO.

    Richard Huber studied at the Technische Fachhochschule (TFH, University of Applied Sciences) Berlin. After three years at TELES AG Berlin, where among other things, he was head of the Media Server Department, he moved to FIZ CHEMIE Berlin in 1999.

    Richard Huber will be available at the Online Information Exhibition 2005 in London for talks with customers and the press from 29.11. - 1.12 at Stand 226, Olympia Grand Hall.
