Ortheil wird Honorarprofessor für Gegenwartsliteratur an der Universität Heidelberg/ Im März Verleihung des Literaturpreises der Stadt Koblenz
Hanns-Josef Ortheil, Schriftsteller und Professor für "Kreatives Schreiben und Kulturjournalismus" an der Stiftungsuniversität Hildesheim, ist zum Honorarprofessor für "Kreatives Schreiben und Gegenwartsliteratur" an der Universität Heidelberg ernannt worden. Seine öffentliche Antrittsvorlesung findet am Mittwoch, dem 25.01.2006, um 19 Uhr c.t. in der Aula der Alten Universität Heidelberg statt. Thema der Vorlesung ist: "Was heißt eigentlich: "kreativ schreiben"?"
Eine weitere Ehrung des Schriftstellers erfolgt am 12. März im Theater der Stadt Koblenz. Prof. Dr. Hanns-Josef Ortheil erhält im Rahmen der Literaturmatinee um 11 Uhr den mit 13.000 Euro dotierten Koblenzer Literaturpreis. Der Freundeskreis der Universität Koblenz-Landau hat den Preis gemeinsam mit dem Theater der Stadt Koblenz ausgeschrieben. Die Wahl fiel auf Ortheil, weil es im gelingt, "anspruchsvolle Literatur unterhaltsam umzusetzen", hieß es in der Begründung. Zuletzt ist von Ortheil der Roman "Die geheimen Stunden der Nacht" erschienen.
