Spitzenforschung auf dem Gebiet der Kunstgeschichte wird mit 1,5 Millionen Euro ausgezeichnet
Mit dem Max-Planck-Forschungspreis - Internationaler Forschungspreis der Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung und der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft - werden in diesem Jahr Prof. Dr. Alina A. Payne, Professorin für Kunstgeschichte und Architektur an der Harvard University (USA), und Prof. Dr. Horst Bredekamp, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, ausgezeichnet. Der Preis ist mit insgesamt 1,5 Millionen Euro dotiert und geht jeweils an einen in Deutschland und einen im Ausland tätigen, international anerkannten Forscher, von denen im Rahmen internationaler Kooperationen weitere wissenschaftliche Spitzenleistungen erwartet werden.
